How it works
From application to launch
The basics, in plain English
- Rights of use, not ownership. Boston Made keeps ownership of every domain, subdomain and online property. Approved applicants receive a license to use it.
- 30% royalty. The licensee pays Boston Made 30% of revenue generated through the licensed property. The exact definition of revenue, reporting and payment schedule are set out in the written agreement.
- Nothing is binding until signed. Submitting an application does not create an agreement or grant any rights. A license exists only once a written agreement is signed by both parties.
- Our discretion. Boston Made may approve, decline or counter any application, and availability of any property is not guaranteed.
- Get advice. We encourage every applicant to review the final agreement with their own attorney and accountant.
